My first port of call would be to remove any assets that won't be noticed in game play (ie vehicles, trains, etc, as these will just be replaced by vanilla), only then move on to stuff that will 'vanish' if removed (ie ploppables like trees and rocks etc, then buildings, etc). 24GB: 1200-2000 assets. Cities Skylines, modded minecraft, and modded factorio imminently jump to mind for either outright need >16GB or will not fit in 16GB with the OS, much less anything else running. Increase the value to allocate more RAM to the modpack. But when there's not enough disk space available then this won't have any desired effect. Ive done large and small mod packs, doesn't seem to matter much as far as ram usage is concerned. My PC has 16gb of ram, of which the game only uses exactly 50% at max (according to task manager), even though there's much more free ram available.
